Arctic Spas Saskatoon opened its door in 1994 and was initially Sunset Bay Spa and Tub Warehouse. It was started by the current CEO of Arctic Spas (Darcy Amendt) as one of their three original stores. In 2001 Chuck Walker started working for the owner as a service helper. He soon became one of the best service techs at Arctic Spas. Chuck, being a natural sales person as well as having had previous experience networking in a prior business, soon found he also thrived on the sales floor, enjoying the many connections and relationships he developed with his customers. These skills quickly lead him to becoming the store manager. Bolstered by encouragement from his clients, Chuck decided to once again pursue becoming a business owner himself, resulting in him purchasing Arctic Spas Saskatoon in 2005. This background in sales and service is what gives Chuck a leading edge in being able to provide his customers with a quality experience and service they can trust.
In addition to Chuck’s well rounded knowledge, Arctic Spas Saskatoon has great staff! OUR enthusiastic sales specialists have done it all as well, working on the factory floor building spas, managing service departments, and now bringing this knowledge to the sales floor to assist customers in finding the product that’s perfect for them. Our professional service team is headed up by a manager whose years of experience in the hot tub industry has provided him with skills in dispatching, diagnostics, repairs and customer service.
Chuck graduated from Bedford Road and currently resides in Saskatoon with his beautiful wife and two children. He is involved with his church and volunteers his time with his local MP. He has been very involved in supporting the Royal University Hospital Foundation Vital Care Fund through donations and as being a major sponsor for the Jarret Stoll Charity Golf Tournament, as well as supporting other groups such as Cystic Fibrosis, Brent and Penny’s Adopt a Family, and Silver Spoon Dinner. Chuck is surrounded by family, extended family and in-laws, giving Chuck roots and a genuine interest and concern for his city, community and reputation.
Here are a few pictures of our showroom, but it’s nicer in person…stop in for a look around!
